Had a great day of fishing yesterday out near the Sound. Had three fellas, Jay, JT, and Dillion, fishing with me, was running a trip for Capt. Johnny. Great guys, fun to fish with and turned out one of the guys knew me and my family. We got a late start but made up for lost time out there with a nice bite on live shrimp under popping corks. Water got stirred up and we had to make a move. Ended up getting on fish in some slightly deeper water. I am begging to pattern that, fish flats under corks early and go to slightly deeper water as the sun comes up. Set corks deeper with a small splitshot or take the corks off and try tight line drifting. We switched from trout to reds with 87 in the box, about their three man limit of specks and some whites mixed in. Tucked off into the marsh on the way in and boxed 6 reds and a flounder before heading for the barn. Oh and gafftops were donated to the charrity poboy giveaway, thanks for that fellas!
