Got out on the water today with Matt Hyashi and his lady Amie. Matt wanted mackerel so we headed straight out to the sound where they have been thick. Of course when I target them they were hard to find... Did find some solid 3-4lb trout though. We picked away at the big girls on croakers under corks then headed back towards the dock making stops along the way with live shrimp to finish of our limit of purdy specks. One excellent bonus was a absolute monster bullred Amie caught near one of the islands on the way in. Great fight, I have a video I will post later. Really fun to fish with these two, even got Matt a couple of his prized mackerel and I think Amie was really happy about her giant fish. Get out there guys, trout are slammin' even with the slack tides.
