Got out two days ago for a late evening trip with my old high school buddy Todd. It was flat so even with the short trip we decided to head out to the Sound.

First fish made my day. I was up on plane motoring and saw a dead gafftop floating and decided what the hell I'll check it out. Sure enough there was a big tripletail under it! Could not believe it. Circled around and made a cast up to it with cork and shrimp. Watched him come up and suck it in, 3 count, WHACK! One very careful fight later I had my first ever Triple-tail!

We proceeded to a couple rigs covered in mackerel and sharks before making our way over to Black Bay to pick up our 50 trout as the sun set. Fun day with a friend. And today we cooking that purdy fat triple tail with a few of our closest. ;D (got a video of the triple-tail, will post later)
