Well that big blow and temp drop a few days ago really stirred things up in Shell Beach. I had a trip Friday so like a crazy fool I went scouting Thursday in the wind. Fellas at campos ask, 'what you think you are doing Markham?', I replied 'Well I am a fishermen right? I am going to go be abused by mother nature, what else I got to do?'

Heh was just about that. Only clear water was in the MRGO and caught fish there but all attempts on Lake Robin side were like crying over chocolate milk. But Friday I had Mike, Mark, and Henry and our mother nature was kinder to us with calmer winds and clear water. Still crisp 45 degrees in the morning but we put her on plane and got out afterum. Water was very clean in Biloxi Marsh and thats where we found our specks and some bonus sheephead tight lining oysters. Nice fast bite with Mike even putting all his fish in the boat on a hybrid flurry lemondrop bounced on the bottom. I also let the guys in on this awesome flounder bite we have going. They hauled in 30 of the monster flounder we dream about all year but can only catch right now in the fall. We had the icechest packed + the back livewell! but had to go for the slam and hit one red pond and caught Mark his first red for the trifecta.
