My dad has wanted to come get in on this fall flounder action one year and when I called him and told him they were on again he jumped in the car and drove down from Shreveport. We went yesterday and caught 20 beautiful flatfish. Sure is fun fishin', far different from trout. Everything about landing one involves patience, instead of the run and gun of throwing a limit of trout in the boat. But the end result sure is nice. They are making their fall spawning run right now, so no better time to find them grouped up. My dad was very happy with the box of flounder we had mid morning but said he would not mind a few reds. So we ran off to some ponds in the Muscle Bay area of Biloxi Marsh and made short work of um in on pond with a bunch of creeks coming into it. Fun day on the water with ma pop! Fish always seem to treat me right when he comes down to fish with me.
