What a way to start the day! I had Carroll and Luis on the boat and we were in for a treat yesterday. Rolled up to the fishing hole and soon as we started casting shrimp began to flick on the surface. Then trout were seen busting. Then if was full scale frenzy from the side of the boat to the shore for like 45 minutes! The specks were hitting corks, bare hooks, anything. You could have caught them on a cane pole. Serious action for a bit, then it slowed down and we went to tight line on carolina rigs. Hit one more hole for 10-15 more pretty specks and polished off a beautiful box of trout meat. Target changed to redfish and we started motoring to where I hammered um the other day. Up on plane and saw a pocket just sick with little finger mullet. Down off plane... Trolled up to see a big bull barrel through coming 1/2 way out of the water like a yellowfin on flying fish. Missed the bull but caught 8 nice keeper reds on the shores nearby. Hit one more pond and finished off the reds. Played around for the next 3 hours hitting more redfish holes, just fishin' for fishin' sake. Great day to be in Biloxi Marsh.
