Another successful trip to Biloxi marsh during this insane wind we have been having. Water up 2' wind HOWLING all day. Did not stop the action out there in the marsh. Had my now regular fishin' buddy Jerry and another of his crew again and we worked um over. This time he had his son Nick, Keith, Charyl, and He father Harry along for the ride. Really fun folks to fish with. Nick helps out with boxing fish, Keith is still in charge of keeping beer cold, and earned the title of automatic bilge pump. His lady Charyl, oh wait she was not a lady but all woman, could fish with the best of um. And her pappy Hard Head Harry fished HARD all day and I think put most our fish in the box. Ended with a beautiful box of trout to show for our efforts. Another highlight of the day was Nick pulling in that big gar. Drag pulling action, running us all around as he tried to get in the anchor then turned and ran under the boat forcing us to get him under and around the motor. As for the trout, same tactic as the last couple trips. We been using a gulps or live shrimp either under a cork in small backwaters, or tight lined in bayous.
