Well my lady is in town, so we grabbed up a couple friends and hit the water.  Started out on reds in Fortuna casting bait under corks.  More stingrays then reds and tide was further down than expected.  The reds are still there on the banks with tide moving down them.  Just need to hit it at high tide. So when the wind layed down we ended up heading out after t-routs.  Got into some nice bigguns' out in Breton.  If you feel like catching big trout you just have to head deep.  It takes a little more patience than inshore trout, but no throwbacks.  Was a really fun day chasing fish and being chased by thunder storms.  Ended up with a nice box of trout, reds, and drum.

So come experience South Louisiana fishing at its best! Salty Dog Charters will guide you to your ultimate day of speckled trout, redfish, and flounder fishing. Whether its in the marsh or offshore Salty Dog Charters is a great choice for your New Orleans greater area fishing adventure! Book a charter with us today!
