Between trolling motor work and moving my boat from a shed to a lift I been off the water a couple days. When I did get back in action every inch of water was covered in fog.

Water temp 57* with much warmer air made for an effect somewhat like fishing in a cloud all morning. Eased my way up into Biloxi Marsh. Took me a bit to figure out the cold trout had cold attitudes. I fished in the area of Pete's and found deeper water and worked it with a 1/4th oz jig head tipped with a minnow. Bouncing the bottom or slow and steady. It was every cast. Trout were cold in your hand. Got my 25 and moved around playing catch and release for a bit.

Headed north and found some serious redfish up in one slightly larger pond. That seems like the pattern since it got colder. They are not way back off in the tiny ponds and creeks. They are in big schools in the slightly larger ponds. I had a blast catch 6 beautiful reds on 7 casts. Each fight took some time on ultra light then next cast FISH ON! It was neat to see them in packs then lead with a cast and WHACK, ZIIIIIIIIING. Forgot bait shrimp so got these guys on plastics and minnows.

Headed back to MRGO for the flounders. Alas I think everyone is right they are wrapping it up. Had three strikes and caught two. Of the ones I caught I noticed that the eggs were 3 times the size/development of ones I had seen only 3 weeks before. My guess is its time for them to head further out or elsewhere and make babies and they heeded the call. I think they were just staging there. But heck they might be done and headed back home...

Anyways still a good first trip from my new slip in Shell Beach. Great red and speck action continues in Biloxi Marsh just got to change tactics a bit.
