I wondered what 15-20 knot WNW wind and cold front would do to the bite but had faith in Hopedale. Started out on the flounder and they were slow but there. Just drag minnows 1-3 of water off MRGO where you see minnows moving on the surface near a bank.

After 10 white bellies I made the trek into the Biloxi area. Tried new water off of Drum Lake. Fished pinches in the bayou after an area where it opens into semi-flats. Here I picked up some trout, a few nice reds, drum, sheephead, and bunch of channel mullet that were fun at first then ran me off.

Found my trout and the rest of my reds in a big bend in the bayou where it washed out into a pond. Was nice to have reds off one side of the boat and trout off the other. After I limited I just stayed there until sunset catching both. At the end I was catching the reds on a gold spoon and trout on a Norton's sand eel jr. white/char. tail, but before both species were commin' in the boat from live minnows or shrimp 2' under a poppin' cork.

So cold front and wind did not shut'um down. Trout, redfish, flounder, drum, sheephead, and channel mullet were all still hungry. Gotta love the variety of fish in the marsh right now.
