I recon it was a rioght good day of fishing eh mate?  Heh great time on the water with a crew of Ozzies.  Loved these guys every sense my trip over there.  We had glassy seas and took advantage of it and motored out to Breton Island.  The crew didn't need any fish so we got to go have fun without chasing limits.  Pulled up into the pocket out at Breton Island and not too much was shaking.  About 8-10 boats in there nobody really whalin' on um.  We had a lot of problems with ladyfish on bait so we switched to plastics under corks. WHACK solid trout.  Rinse and repeat we had big sow trout coming in the boat one after another.  All there throwing them over the side one after another.  Laura said she had never caught this many fish.  Great start on about 30 sow speckled trout, then went out to see what else we could find.  Worked around the beach towards the offshore side and hit giant schools of ladyfish busting for 100's of yards solid surface frenzy.  Sharks were in the mix, I asked the crew, and they wanted one.  We hooked up leaders and caught a could ladyfish for bait and it was game on!  4 or 5 hookups in about 30 minutes.  Then we stayed connected on one, before that hooks kept pulling.  Massive (ozzie accent) battle later, after chasing him with the boat, we had a nice big blacktip alongside the boat.  Getting a good picture and releasing was the tough part.  Noosed him with the bow line and got a couple good photos then let him free.  Figured we had time for one more stop so we took it to the rigs.  Hit the second one and big bull redfish on.  After a drag peeling battle Kyle caught his first redfish a big ol 30-35lber.  Awesome  day, really glad the weather and fish cooperated for them so they could see what Louisiana fishing is all about.
