Had old friends down from Shreveport to get out and do some coastal fishing with me. Dillon has reopened his tackle box so to speak and has gotten back into fishing. We were up against a pretty tough day in the morning with 15mph wind keeping us from fishing offshore. I started out with the guys in the MRGO canal and we put together a decent box of redfish, sheephead, and flounder in the morning. We just waited the wind out and it did lay for us to get outside. I know the guys wanted some big fish so we started hitting the rigs in search of bull reds. They made us work for them but we did find um deep in Breton Sound. 3 bulls young enough to eat, some monster sheephead, and a pompano! Fun day on the water with old friends. Now I'm gunna get Dillon to take me out in his boat in my old crappie stomping grounds next time I head up north Louisiana!
