Had a cancelation on a day I knew we going to murderlize the fish and I just could not take it.  Also my neighbor and friend Mack really wanted to put a trip together with me in the last few weeks but either wind or bookings kept us from taking it.  But the stars aligned and Mack called in his brother Jamie and friend Joseph and we got out there dark and early for the feeding frenzy that then ensued!  Birds diving, shrimp popping, trout flying into the air with shrimp in their mouths like tuna fish on a bait-ball!  It was awesome sight to behold.  We caught 100 trout on 90% plastics.  Jamie was sticking with live shrimp for a little bit but went back and forth as the rest of us stuck to the vudu shrimp or matrix double rigs.  A few times we put two keepers in the boat at once with the shad/double rigs. Best of the morning however was a quad on keepers that we got a photo of with a timer on the camera.  Good times for sure.  We then proceeded to take our beautiful live shrimp we had saved out to be brutalized by Bullreds in Breton Sound. Each of the guys caught big reds with highlights being a MONSTER redfish by Jamie in the 30-40lb range and then a double by Mack and Joseph on the next stop.  Made for a great finish on big fish battles after the trout frenzy of the morning earned us our groceries.  Great day of fishing with fellow New Orleanians.
