Had a couple that liked to fish together on board a few days ago.  Steffi and John were in for a treat when we picked up our live shrimp at Campo's Marina dark and early on a calm morning.  You could feel the energy of the trout chaos that would ensue upon the still air.  We hooked up to the rig with birds diving and fish flying through the air.  Its another one of those days where you know you are going to caught fish every cast.  We had a great time on the trout again fishing 3' under a cork or Carolina rigged live shrimp.  Steffi really seemed to do great with the tight lined slip sinker, once we went to fishing the bottom she really put a whippin' on John.  We were finished up so early out there we decided to put a few redfish in the boat on the way in.  And that we did, worked one shoreline and 5 beauties hit the deck after nice drag pulling battles.  Made a little run and stopped off at a pond right on the edge of the bayou to check it out.  Saw a big redfish feeding in 6" of water in the back of it.  John put a cast right on him and it was on!  Got to see the big red waking around as the entire fight took place in 6-8 inches of water.  Something cool about seeing them before the hookup.  Great day of fishing on the water with really nice couple of people.  Hope we get to do it again sometime.
