Had a couple from West Virginia down for their 20th anniversary, main mission to fish Louisiana!  Debbie told J.R. her idea, and I am sure it did not take him long to agree.  Heh talk about a keeper.  The couple had a great three days of fishing with me.  Staying at lodging here in Shell Beach they got to soak in the local Cajun fishing culture.  First day it was pretty calm so we hit the Breton Sound for some monstas.  Not disappointed with all forms of big beauties pulling drag at every stop.  Bull redfish, drum, and sheephead were coming up in doubles all day.  The second day we had a little more wind so stuck it out on the MRGO rocks for a nice morning of bull red fish action followed by an afternoon catching slot reds back in the marsh.  Debbie and JR were a good team.  Looking out for each other, making sure the other was in position for a good cast on the action.  I can see how they made it 20 happy years!  Even had a kiss after each double.  Day three was all marsh action, but we took it deep into the edges of the marsh over on the Delacroix side of MRGO.  Got on some really nice top end slot redfish.  Got them their limit of those with a couple drum mixed in.  High winds but we were able to find semi protected cleaner water and tide was up in the grass and fish were right on it fishing dead shrimp or plastics 2' under a popping cork.  Really great folks, really easy going it made for a fun three days of fishing.  Everything they caught was donated to our charity fish poboy giveaways we do in New Orleans, big thanks for that.  I think I will see this couple again sometime, they said it was their favorite fishing charter so far and that was saying something because they have gone all over the place.  Gotta love Louisiana catchin'!
