Had a feller soon to tie the knot fishing with me yesterday, Alex and 8 of his closest compadres jumped on board with me, Captain Jac, and Cap'n Joe. Jac and I went long for big fish and Joe stayed inside trying to dodge the wind and catch some more keeper sized fish. We had realy hard conditions with 20MPH north wind screaming all morning. I was worried for the guys with all that muddy water and it possibly being to rough to get offshore. I stopped off at the rocks and Jac continued on out to try the rigs. Ended up being a really good day. Both boats got on some serious bull redfish action, with some sheephead and drum mixed in for groceries. My crew caught non stop with some real monsters coming on board. Alex was the man of the day and earned the title MVP in my boat. I think he was constantly hooked up the entire trip. Boated multiple redfish over 25-30lb with two or three of those coming off an 8 weight flyrod! Austin and Tyler were keeping up, going toe to toe with some nice fish as well.  Then Tyler hooked a fish he fought for 18 minutes!  This was half because the fish was a beast and half because Tyler earned the title of "Slow Hand" for his gentle fish fighting technique.  Think he spent too much time catching 6" trout in Colorado.  Heh sorry Tyler, shouldn't talk so much smack, you did land them all... eventually.  Awesome day that could have been a bust do to the conditions, but we got lucky, the fish gods smiled on us, and we knocked it out the park.  Great guys, really glad we were able to make it happen for him on his last big fishing trip as a free man.  Hope to fish with this crew again.
