Spring is a really good time to catch big fish out of Shell Beach, Louisiana.  Angela and Miles and their boys Patrick and Sam had great timing for their trip with me a few days ago.  The weather was nothing short of perfect with high around 70 and sunny, calm, and clear.  I took the crew out the oil rigs in Breton Sound and got them on some big fish action.  Every member of the family hooks, fought, and landed their own monster redfish.  The boys were in a mini tournament that I believe ended at a dead tie.  The funny thing is one of the fish they caught, a big sheephead, had eaten both their bait and was reeled in together.  They was much dispute over which son's tally that fish went to.  Heh great day getting some of our future fishermen draft picks on some big fish.  Sam was the youngest and when he hooked up on a big red it looked a lot like a 250lb grown man battling a yellow-fin tuna, the struggle was no less epic.  Crew even took home a tasty seafood platter of fish after filling the 94q cooler to the lid.  They had a flounder, some sheephead and small drum, and some nice slot redfish for the grill and frying pan.

Wonderful people to fish with and I hope I will again be able to put them on some Louisiana action.
