Had a day in the boat to myself yesterday and decided to go fishing in a cold front. Trees were shaking, wind blew chill, but didn't stop the flounder in the MRGO from biting. Hit a few pockets with 3' water and found them here and there. Slow fishing but for me its all worth that THUMP when you know its a flounder. Picked up 10 nice ones with a couple SLABS and quite a few little cupcakes returned to the water to grow up a little. Also quite a bit of 'bycatch' as you can see in the picture. I fished live shrimp but sure would love to have had some minnows. Anyone know if they are selling them at BSM yet? Anyways just thought I would give the heads up for an flounder fanatics like me out there. Go getcha some!
