Had Dean and Curtis, a couple fellers from Texas, over a few days ago.  They had bullreds on the target list and I wanted to see what we could get done for them.  Spent about 1/2 our time trying to hook a 20lb plus redfish and the other half doing a little marsh fishing.  The guys got a little bit of both with some nice hauls of fresh seafood from the marsh and one big lunker bull redfish caught in the deep water of the channel by my man Curtis.  We saw explosions of mullets down a rock line and knew we were in the right place.  A good cast and he could not resist that 3" Matrix shad swimming by his face.  Few photos and the brute was released.  Didn't set any redfish records but went out with a goal of catching a line stretcher and put one in the boat.  Good time with good fellers, I hope they come back and see me sometime.  Maybe if they want a bull redfish roundup we can get on together in the spring and early summer when they are stacked up offshore.
