Fall fishing is here!!!  Chris and Dan snuck down south again and got in another trip with me out of Shell Beach.  The guys love to catch sheephead and late last fall we really hammered um.  I told Chris they might not be on the menu but the Redfish and the speckled trout were just starting to get really good on the inside.  We started out on trout and were welcomed by some frenzied action right off the bat at a drain in Lake Borgne.  When the morning frenzy tapered off I took them to the dam in search of a bull red.  Was packed with boats and only one little corner to fish.  Pulled up and hooked a nice bull on about the 4th cast got an excellent bit of drag screaming and line stretching.  With no vacancy to keep that up we headed way up to Biloxi Marsh and finished our day out up there.  Great fishing in the marsh.  Catching 25-30 speckled trout, 5 drum, 15 reds with a few bulls released.  Oh and one sheephead just to make Chris happy.  It was funny right off the bat Dan was putting a hurt on his brother with the numbers on redfish, but then Chris had to catch both the monster reds just to show his bro who was boss.  Really fun day on a falling tide fishing drains.  The guys took some of their catch to be cooked up at Maurepas Foods, with our "cook your catch" option.  The rest was donated to our charity po-boy give-aways.  Great couple guys that I think are coming back on day for the spring sheephead rodeo.
