Great time out on the water today with some guys that were really fun to fish with. Jim, Steve, and Kyle had something to say about just about every dropped fish or missed hook set. I don't think I have heard that amount of trash talk all season. The guys have fished a lot which just allowed them to focus on their various slanders and comebacks. We got an early start this morning, motoring out in the dark to the hallowed fishing grounds. Arrived at the our fishing hole before even the sea gulls had woken up and clocked in for a days work. It was corks out and corks down! We had serious action all morning, the guys did not even get a chance to grab a beer, which they of course had something to say about. Really quality trout were coming in the boat all 3' under a cork on Campo's live skrimps. We had 100 on ice in short order and the both myself and the guys were really happy to turn the bow dock-ward and start taking her in. We did make one stop for redfish in the marsh and found um hungry! Guys were really good fishermen so we used a little different tactic and trolled while they cast into likely redfish holes. We fished both gold spinners and shrimp under corks. Plenty of drag pulling hookups ensued. Also got on a couple little holes holding some flounder and after only a short session of marsh fishing we had a nice pile of redfish and flounder to go on top of our trout. When we cranked the big engine to take it to the barn we had 100 speckled trout, 10 redfish, and 5 flounder to Bring to the Table!

Jim caught our first trout of the day, and this beauty.

Steve was our quality fishermen, here displaying a "Steve size trout"

Kiel was our redfish allstar.  He caught the first 3 before the guys could spit.

Jim with a good smiling size redfish.

Tasty Double.

Good thing those last couple were flat.

Yessir!
