Picked three fellers up dark and early for another round of Shell Beach fishing.  Luke Major, Luke Minor, and Earl were ready to get out to the sacred grounds and see some Louisiana ACTION.  Did not disappoint, we got luck with the wind and it was flat calm when we got outside.  Throttle down we headed deep to see if we could find any hungry yellow mouths out in Breton Sound.  The shrimp are really starting to show up out there, I saw birds on shrimp all the way out of the marsh and into the Sound.  I figured we were in good shape and sure enough first stop did not disappoint, another boat were hooking up to the rig when we arrived so we anchored off to the side.  Corks out, corks down.  Number 50 hit the ice without much trouble, and then... the wind came up.  Was like a light switch on our cork bite, we did manage a few more on tight line but it was slow.  Also hooked a giant drum that the guys fought for about 20 minutes then I started asking for them to flex on him and he broke off.   I take full responsibility for the loss of that drum fish.  Action was down to a crawl, then we saw some birds working away from the rig.  I figured it would be gafftops but we gave it a go.  Double and triples again until number 100 hit the ice.  Fun morning!  Started with a bang and ended with a bang.   Off to the marsh to hit some reds on the way in.  Found a couple reds at each little stop, with Luke minor aka Lesser Luke really shined on the redfish catching two beautiful high end slot reds.  Earl caught one of the bigger Sheephead I believe we have ever caught. Inshore bite kept rollin' with last stop on reds yeilding 4 or 5 in one little flurry with a few released as well.  Great day on the water with great guys.  They shipped some of their fish home and donated the rest to our Charity Po-boys.  Thanks fellers! They even helped clean the boat!

Luke Major with a nicern.
