Had a couple fish with me yesterday who were a lot of fun to have in the bout.  Just really positive fun people, I could tell when we left the dock it was going to be a good day.  Great conditions and nice easy going crew.  We headed straight out into the Sound and made one stop a little closer in where we have been catching some fish.  Eric and Liz put a couple purdy speckled trout in the boat right away but the bite was not fast and furious and there were some horseflies.  I decided to pull anchor and leave fish to find fish.  We headed further out and pulled up on a rig with birds diving everywhere.  I knew before we set the hook that we were about to make it happen.  Sure enough doubles and triples insued for the next hour.  We were throwing big girthy trout over the gunnels at an alarming rate but there was a storm threatening to make us move again!  It was complete with a big nasty water spout, which made it even more nerve racking.  But we got lucky and the storm slide off just the the northeast of us and we were left to our work.  Awesome catch of 75 beautiful offshore trout and we were headed back into the marsh.  One quick stop on redfish yielded 4 beauties for the grill and that was a wrap.  The crew was very happy about our success and ready to head to the dock for a fish cleaning party.  They are already talking about perhaps bringing their boys down if they make another trip to New Orleans and getting them out on the Glossie Mae as well.
