Had a fellow I have not seen since I was about 8 on board my boat couple days ago.  Mr. Flitter and his buddy Ed have been planning to fish with me for a while and finally got the time to get out there.  We were in for a treat as the wind had layed down long enough for the water to get clean.  The brown shrimp are really flowing through right now and the trout are thick if you can find the area the shrimp are.  Birds diving and trout flying in the boat was the scene all morning.  We went deep into The Sound trying to get on some nicer speckled trout and the plan turned out great.  The guys worked the trout over something feirce in the morning until a storm came a  little too close for comfort and we had to run from it mid morning with about 50 beautiful speckled trout in the box.   Onward to the next stop out of the path of the storm and it was on again.  Every cast action until number 75 hit the box and we caught a few more just for the fun of feeling that THUMP.  We fished tight line most of the day with just enough lead to get it down in the tide.  We gave the bullreds a shot but they had moved along since last I caught them, maybe following the pogies because I did not see any of them all day either.  Great morning on the trout and all smiles we took it to the dock.
