Had a couple in from California with me Monday and we wanted to let Shaunmarie and Kirk get a little taste of all the seafood delights we have to offer down here.  Started out looking for trout in Eloi but 20mph nonrthest wind had other plans.  We found a few bites on small trout and sail cats and turned tail for protected waters.  We hit Athanasio on some birds an Shaunmarie was in for a treat.  Monster bullred on her third cast took her for a long and hard battle before coming on board for a photo session.  High fives all around and the beast was set free to terrorize more shrimp, crabs and poggies.  From there we worked into more protected water, with the wind howling.  Hit the channel and got on a great bite of large trout.  Kirk also caught a big ol'gator gar for another fine example of Louisiana wildlife.  They had a great catch and shipped it back from a market in Chalmette.  Fresh overnight shipping is available between the dock and the French Quarter so its easy to take advantage of.  Wonderful day with great people, even with the tough conditions.
