Great triumph over adversity today out there.  Big storm comming in.  Wind up too high to get outside.  Knowing weather was not going to let us fish long before getting hammered we just throttled down and hoped for the best.  Went to the area we have been catching lately and got on a little frenzy bite early under birds.  First fish was a big bullred that really set the tempo for the day.  Every cast action on trout, but about 3 to 1 throw backs to keeper ratio.  So we only had about 20-25 trout when the storm front got too close for comfort.  Throttled down to get near some shelter and hunkered for for a couple hours waiting it out.  Manage to get on a little redfish bite where a bunch of bait was pushing down the bank.  Just throwing up in the little feeder  creeks.  Was nice to have my trolling motor back to hunt um down.  After the rain passed we picked up two more reds real quick cruisin' on full bore on the trolling motor and sight fishing them.  Then made a big move back to the MRGO to try to finish out the trout.  Got on a really good bite this time about 1/2 and 1/2 keeper to throw backs and polished off their limit and a few for the house.  Tried to call in reinforcements on the radio but I think most were back in out of the weather.  Did manage to flag Captain Devin down on his way down the channel and hand off some bait on the bite.  Considering the odds I am real happy with what the fish gods gave us today.  Taking a few days off,  my lady got her a ticket for an air-o-plane and gets in tomorrow.
