Been away from my home waters for a month chasing bigguns in Florida but was happy to be home for the 4th. Took an old friend fishing out of Hopedale and the Louisiana fish welcomed me home with a full box.

Started out limiting on specks out in Breton Sound rigs. Mostly live shimp but with the bigger fish comming from plastics. With the shrimp carolina rigs and bottom rigs worked best with wave action being a little much for corks and the fish were near the bottom.

Also played around with some sheephead pulling them out of rig pillings. (fun on 10' sac-au-lait pole)

Finished it off with some nice reds on the ride back in. Got them where a little cut of tide was comming out of a pond in the marsh.

All in all great day ended with having to take out just a little ice to fit the last big red. :D
