Had a couple local fellas and one from Mississippi with me today. Robert, Lui, and Jack showed up ready to take on the our salty critters. We started to the west and set up where I have been catching some small trout in good numbers. First few casts with the cork Robert hooks something big. Not a trout... Well about 20 minutes later and a pulled anchor to chase the fish we landed a moster jack. Credit to Robert on keeping it on the line because the hook was broken. Pics, idle to revive, back to business. Nada here and others on the radio were having issues as well so went in search. First rig double occupancy, no vacancy. Next rig single, no vacancy. And once more same issue. Got to see a bunch of fish caught... but only a few for my crew. Captain Jaques was in the area and found what we were searching for. I owe ya cap, thanks. Pulled up and got um rollin. Guys had a blast and finally got to catch a few for themselves instead of all the show and tell we had to endure in the morning. Ended up with a final tally of 75 fat speckled trout.
