Had a crew in from the northshore and we had a tough day getting on the fish.  Guys got held up in traffic for 3 hours and we got a late start.  Wish I could blame our struggle on that but it was just one of those days where mother nature wanted us to be challenged.  Water was just calm enough to get outside so we went for it.  Only to find stained water and some white caps that blew up about the time we got out there.  Had to escape back into the marsh.  Reds were hard to find as well but thankfully my man Tyson turned the whole day around for us.  He hooked up on his fish of a lifetime.  A GIANT drum that took a good 20 minute battle to bring to the net.  This was our first decent fish of the day and marked our turn around.  It was his biggest fish ever and really changed the moral in the boat.  Then we started putting from food in the boat in the form of puppy, drum and sheephead.  Then a slot red mixed with a bunch of smaller redfish. The guys were in great spirits and a blast to fish with.  I was happiest about Chris being from Australia because I have such fond memories of that place that his use of phrases such as "good on ya" or "heaps mate" kept me in good spirits.  Hope to get these guys back for a trout slam.  Just wasn't in the cards for us... next time!  Anyways a day when someone in the boat catches there biggest fish ever is a damn good day.  I think one of the crew said that.  Great guys, hope to fish with them again to avenge my honor.

First some pics of Tyson's battle with the beast.
