Had a group of folks a few days ago who wanted a combo trip.  They wanted to fish a little but mainly wanted to see the sights of Louisiana coastal waters.  So we worked on the trout early under corks then called it a day and went exploring.  Turned on the air conditioning in the form of 40MPH wind.  Took them to see some shrimpers and oystermen working their trade.  Then ran into a couple pods of dolphins that let us get really close to them.  Jess was very close to jumping in to swim with them, but in the stained water she decided to stay in the boat and watch which was most likely the best vantage to watch them.  Then I took them way back into Biloxi marsh to some of my favorite little bayous.  Caught a few redfish along the way, saw beautiful marsh birds and some nutria.  Made a big circuit and brought them back across Lake Borgne just as the afternoon thunderstorms started cracking off.  Stopped at Fort Proctor aka  Beauregard's castle and let them take a look at a 1850 pre civil war ruin.  All in all a very fun day and I think the crew got just what they had in mind for their trip on the water.  Was fun for me to have a goal other them catching the most possible fish in the shortest period of time, which is a daily grind of a charter boat captain.
